JOB SUMMARY
 
General Description
The Nurse Practitioner will work in a busy, fast-paced, and progressive practice that offers outpatient care and a variety of other related services.  The practice is within a health care system that provides for consultation, collaborative management, or referral as indicated by the health status of the client.
 

Responsibility

The Nurse Practitioner will assess clinical information, develop care plans, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and develop treatment and follow-up plans that demonstrate respect and understanding of the patient’s right to treatment and right to involvement in treatment decisions.
 
Accountability
The Nurse Practitioner reports directly to the Clinic Manager.

Mental:   Astute communication skills with employees, physicians, visitors, administration, and the public.  Ability to adjust to job situations that involve many different people and projects, requiring independent action and judgment.  Work cooperatively with co-workers maintaining an effective relationship with all staff.  Exhibit excellent work habits and consistent self-directed adherence to expectations.  Display high degree of enthusiasm and commitment to department/hospital mission.

Physical:  Must have the ability and competency to operate the equipment of his/her position; perform technical procedures; speak intelligently and in a professional manner before others, and exercise some supervision and management skills.
 
Qualifications
Education:  Must be a graduate of an accredited Master’s Nursing Program.  Must adhere to staff membership bylaws as well as provide insurability for professional liability.
 
Experience:  Minimum of one (1) year of experience preferred.  Bi-lingual capabilities helpful.
 
Working Environment
Clinic hours of operation are Monday Thru Friday 7:00am-7:00pm and Saturday 8:00am-12:00pm.  Working 40 hour work week. Work in a clean, well-lighted, heated, and air-conditioned office setting.  Exposure to unpleasant sights, smells, and infectious diseases at times.
 
Salary Range
$82,000-$100,000 annually, Student Loan Reimbursement, Relocation Allowance, Sign On BonusÂ
