As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide exceptional Occupational Therapy services to pediatric clients and families in a community based setting utilizing occupational therapy expertise, family and community centered practices to ensure families have options in fostering the early development of their child. They will assist families with Home Programming and community transitions. Perform initial and re-evaluations, set goals, update plans of cares, and make treatment recommendations that are relevant to each individual client. Document daily treatment sessions and progress reports according to insurance standards. You will provide education and consultation services as well as assist in social and economic services for our clients. You will be encouraged to use creative techniques in therapy and work with other disciplines to develop and execute therapy.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • New Graduates are encouraged to apply!
  • Occupational Therapy and Colorado licensure/certification as an Occupational Therapist
  • Co State License issued by DORA (Department of Regulatory Agencies)
  • CPR/ First Aid Certification
  • TB Test

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in Home Health or other Community Based setting

Job Summary
General Description
This position assumes responsibility and accountability for providing direct patient care to a group of patients for a designated time frame on a medical-surgical unit. Astute assessment skills, IV skills, independent decision-making and the ability to function under high stress situations is required.

Responsibility
Performs assessment/data collection in an ongoing, systematic manner. Formulates a goal directed plan of care by establishing priorities of patient care based on essential patient needs and available unit resources. Performs efficiently in emergency patient situations, following established protocols, remaining calm, informing appropriate persons and documenting events.Is also responsible for the supervision of any LPN’s,Nurse Aides, and assignments to the Medical/Surgical Unit.

Accountability
The RN reports directly to the Acute Care Services Manager.

Special Demands
Mental: Stressful environment with frequent crisis intervention and creative problem solving required.
Physical: Involves constant walking and standing.Frequent reaching, twisting, squatting, lifting, and handling of equipment. Frequent exposure to blood and body fluids. Frequent exposure to communicable disease/illness.

Qualifications
Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and current Colorado license. Must have documentation of current CPR and Basic Life Support training. ACLS certification or will have certification within one year of employment.
Experience: Previous related experience. Graduate nurses with one year of Medical/Surgical experience preferred.

Employment Variables
Full time position working 36 hours per week. May need to work overtime as need arises.May rotate shifts and areas as staffing and census requires.

Salary Range
Commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Our PT's develop, coordinate and utilize select knowledge and skills in planning, organizing and implementing programs for the care of patients whose ability to function is impaired or threatened by disease or injury. The PT’s primary focus is on those individuals with neuromuscular, skeletal, integumentary, pulmonary and cardiovascular disorders and evaluating the level of function related to these disorders.

Our PTs work with a multi-disciplinary team including OT and SLP in a 49-bed acute care hospital and 10-bed critical access hospital. We offer continuing education to all our therapists to ensure they are up to date and providing the best possible care. We do not have productivity requirements at SLV Health. Job Qualifications:

Clinic hours of operation are Monday Thru Friday 7:00am-7:00pm and Saturday 8:00am-12:00pm.  Working 40 hour work week. Work in a clean, well-lighted, heated, and air-conditioned office setting.  Exposure to unpleasant sights, smells, and infectious diseases at times.

JOB SUMMARY 

General Description 

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will work as part of a team to provide physical therapy service under the direction and supervision of the physical therapist. The PTA will implement selected components of patient/client interventions (treatment), obtain data related to the interventions provided, and make modifications in selected interventions either to progress the patient/client as directed by the physical therapist or to ensure patient/client safety and comfort. 

Responsibility 

PTA’s assist the physical therapist in the treatment of individuals of all ages, from newborns to the very oldest, who have medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives. Patient care is provided as inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings.

The Physical Therapy Assistant reports directly to the Director of Rehabilitation.
